Purpose:*

The Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), will lead the immunology-dermatology HEOR franchise including both in-market and exciting new pipeline assets Key responsibilities include developing and driving AbbVie’s immunology portfolio strategy in dermatology for the US market including co-leading the real-world evidence team with medical affairs. This will require strong leadership experience, innovative mindset, executional excellence, in the development of US strategy.The ideal candidate will have experience in immunology and experience bringing a product to the US marketplace to make a difference—for our payers, physicians and patients.

Responsibilities* * Leads the immunology-dermatology HEOR franchise in the development of the strategic plans and studies to support patient access all within a high matrix, team environment * Partner with clinical development and medical affairs teams to identify appropriate trial endpoints and leverage clinical development programs to capture HEOR endpoints relevant to US payers, physicians and patient * Sets the strategic direction of the Brand in partnership with the integrated brand teams focusing on the impact of evidence generation to solve complex issues * Provide scientific and technical support for assigned products; develops and maintains professional and credible relationships with, key opinion leaders; actively participate in relevant Brand Teams and helps develop HEOR strategies for assigned products * Will ensure project plans integrate and align with the product strategic plans from matrix teams to achieve AbbVie’s ambition in dermatology * Works mostly independently with limited guidance * Drive the design and aggressive execution of a high quality HEOR program supporting the dermatology strategy for pipeline products as well as on-market products that effectively and efficiently meets ethical, scientific, regulatory, commercial, and quality requirements. * Experience with FDAPRO guidance is key and experience with FDA interactions on inclusion of PRO end points in the label will be strongly preferred * Co-create HEOR economic models and payor tools/dossiers to demonstrate value from a payor perspective to support patient access to medicines.

Qualifications:
* Preferred: PhD in health economics, econometrics, (pharmaco) epidemiology, public health or any other related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience * Will consider: MD or PharmD, both with an MS in Economics, Econometrics, or (pharmaco) epidemiology or any other related, with at least 10 years of relevant experience * Recent experience bringing a product to market, pre-launch and launch * Experience within the immunology therapeutic area, at least 3 years strongly preferred * Experience leading HEOR strategies and tactics in support of pipeline development and on-market product support, including developing and executing study protocols * Experience managing a team of research scientists will be strongly preferred * Possess both strategic and tactical skills in executing HEOR * Seeking a proven leader within HEOR and the pharmaceutical industry to complete a top performing team in immunology.
