AbbVie Manager, Dermatology, Global Marketing Analytics and Business Intelligence in Lake County, Illinois

The Manager, Global Marketing Analytics and Business Intelligence (MABI) is responsible for contributing to business strategies and decisions by helping outline critical business questions,addressing the questions with appropriate research, synthesizing information, findings into insights, and evaluating market performance to enable better business decisions. Key responsibilities include planning and executing appropriate research to address business imperatives. This person is also responsible for communicating the results and implications. This position works collaboratively with the brand teams, Areas and Affiliates and across the Customer Excellence functions to achieve these goals.
* Serve as the MABI support for a designated therapeutic area, becoming a trusted consultant to the therapeutic brand team, helping to guide brand strategy and advising tactical initiatives based on superior customer insights and analytics. * Enable the cross-functional business teams, Global Brand Teams (GBT) or Global Commercial Teams (GCT) to analyze & prioritize critical brand questions, generating & synthesizing relevant insights and then crystallizing the key takeaways including their measurement and evaluation. * Maintain a network of Area, and Affiliate contacts to provide local market insights and specialist expertise as well enhance affiliate learnings with global findings. * With direction utilize and execute the most objective, unbiased, and up-to-date research approaches and analyses to provide findings and implications to the brand teams. * Support the brand planning process based on an understanding of all stages of the patient journey, as well as stakeholder influences throughout the journey. Recommend potential plans to prioritize and address insight gaps. * Provide commercial competitive intelligence to enable the business to anticipate competitor strategies and achieve market leadership. * Gather insights regarding the future evolution of the external environment over the next 5-10 years.
* Seek MABI guidance to identify and utilize latest advances in data sources & analytics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of our core strategies and key initiatives. * Participate in initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the Marketing Analytics and Business Intelligence function. * Ensure all MABI activities are conducted in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines.

* BA or BS degree required. Advanced degree (e.g. MBA or MA) preferred. * Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience including primary research (including qualitative, quantitative and syndicated). Experience using secondary data is an advantage. Experience in Dermatology is an advantage. * Pharmaceutical/Healthcare experience is a plus.
* Potential for strategic thinking and thought leadership with aptitude for storytelling. * Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, and creativity in problem solving. * Ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) brand teams and peers. * Ability to be agile & nimble to changing business conditions. * Strong collaboration and teamwork across functional groups to contribute to a productive work culture. * Strong attention and commitment to detail. * Demonstrated project management capabilities (independently manage multiple projects with complex timelines and interdependencies). * Managerial experience is also an advantage.
