TheManager, Talent and Developmentwill be responsible for leading AbbVie-wide development initiatives from design to evaluation. The Manager will take the lead on content development, project planning, stakeholder engagement and supplier management to deliver virtual and in-person development programs across AbbVie.

Major Responsibilities * _LEADERSHIP_ - Leads enterprise-wide initiatives facilitating efforts across many functions to deliver results. Coordinate efforts across Talent & Development and cross functional partners to align to one, enterprise plan. Provides leadership of project team throughout the design and implementation. * _CONTENT_ - *Develop content for virtual and in-person programs, job aids, communications and other performance support tools and maintain existing content on websites and portals. Provide subject matter expertise on instructional media, adult learning principles, and distance learning development. Conducts interviews with subject matter experts, client, and Talent & Development. Documents needs, determines learning objectives, drafts module content, and prioritizes content for best presentation. Ensures content quality, applicability and integrity. Evaluates impact of training. * *_PROJECT PLANNING_ - Manage projects and events to deliver training using processes and tools to establish and maintain plans from design to evaluation. Be the in-the-know person to oversee, troubleshoot and make decisions that lead to expected project outcomes. Coordinates staff, equipment, facilities, suppliers, technology for testing and live events. Serve as the event producer. Leads lessons-learned to drive efficiencies. Assumes responsibility for project quality including brand compliance. * _COLLABORATION_ - Build effective working relationships resulting in collaboration within Talent & Development, suppliers, and internal/external stakeholders including senior leaders. Partner with clients, participants and subject matter experts to identify knowledge and behavioral needs. Partner with subject matter experts to develop content and instructional support tools. Works collaboratively to complete projects. * _COMMUNICATION_ - Summarize and succinctly communicate to stakeholders and colleagues status on the development and rollout of training projects. Prepare and deliver clear, relevant and influential presentations on training projects and plans to a variety of audiences. Communicate with all levels of leadership on the status and direction of training programs. * _SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT_ - Maintains cost effective relationship with various suppliers and identifies cost containment strategies. Oversee contracts and SOWs, invoices. Identifies and allocates appropriate funds by supplier to best realize return on investment.

Qualifications:
Basics: * Bachelor’s degree * Highly likeable and a superb collaborator and team player who can influence without authority at all levels. * Proven leadership in large-scale initiatives. * Superior verbal and written communication skills including editing are essential. * Expertise in Project Management. * Proficiency in tools like Adobe Suite, MS Office Suite, Publisher and other software as required. * Expert level skills in WebEx and other virtual meeting software, OneDrive or similar shared drive technologies. * Proven Instructional Design skills. * Minimum 5 year’s experience in Talent Development role.
