The Global Commercial Development (GCD) organization leads the development of the strategic marketing direction of key assets in AbbVie’s pipeline. The role of the Global Pipeline Forecasting & Commercial Analytics is to serve as the primary source of forecasting & commercial analytics services within GCD. The objective of this support is to help evaluate the commercial assessments in support of strategic decisions related to all oncology pipeline products and on market product lifecycle projects. This role will also serve as a primary point of contract for commercial analytical support related to GCD strategic initiatives related to the oncology therapeutic area.

The Director Global Forecasting & Commercial Analytics is responsible for developing forecast models specific to pipeline compounds and on market product lifecycle projects for oncology and hematology areas. In addition, he / she is responsible for coordinating and / or leading the forecasting / commercial analytics aspects of any strategic initiatives associated with oncology commercial development.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Integrate with the asset or brandteam and provide a data driven point of view on the strategy and value of theassets in the oncology therapeutic area

  • Lead and coordinate the forecastingand commercial analytics support for any commercial strategic initiativesrelevant to the oncology therapeutic area

  • Develop and maintain forecast modelsto inform long-range planning, milestone decisions, and strategic decisions,and business development opportunities

  • Lead the design and implementationof model updates and/or new forecast approaches

  • Develop and maintain extensiveknowledge of business conditions and marketing strategy for the oncologytherapy area

  • Coordinate with BusinessIntelligence to identify data and insight gaps and co-develop market researchto help inform those gaps

  • Develop and integrate variouscommercial analytics to inform key forecast assumptions and to provide a data-drivenpoint of view on the impact of product and market events on the commercialopportunity

  • Coordinate and quality control thegeneration and deliver of presentation content specific to forecasting /commercial analytics work product for Executive level governance committees.

  • Serve as a credible and strategicpartner to all the stakeholders of this role including marketing, forecasting,business development, and clinical

  • Provide real-time decision supportvia close coordination and collaboration across multiple stakeholders withinGCD and other AbbVie partners including L&A, R&D, HEOR, Market Access,Finance, Regulatory, Medical, Global Marketing, and Area & AffiliateCommercial organizations

  • Independently identify areas forfurther analysis and identify approaches to solve the issue

  • Championing the GCD Mission andVision and the broader AbbVie Leadership Attributes

  • 8+years of relevant business experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech,or life sciences consulting industries.

  • Demonstratedability to influence decision making in cross-functional andcross-cultural environments

  • Experiencebuilding and updating of forecasting tools or related platforms to assessoncology commercial opportunities

  • Demonstratedexperience in the incorporation and communication of analytics (primaryand secondary data) for strategic decision support.

  • Experiencein with new product development and demand estimation in areas withsignificant uncertainty.

  • Self-motivatedand experience managing multiple projects across multiple teams whiledelivering results on-time

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel experience

  • MBAor advanced STEM degree is preferred
